What’s all the hype about? You may have heard of Zumba as the newest form of dance fitness exercise.  Zumba includes music with fast and slow rhythms, as well as resistance training. The music is super fun and mostly centers around four different types of dance: cumbia, merengue, reggaeton and salsa.

Our Zumba classes include fun and exciting workouts and work on various parts of the body at the same time. Also, we teach this Zumba class completely seated!  This provides a low-impact option, and safe option for seniors. The class feature seated movements that help to improve balance, coordination, and overall strength. You’ll see lots of arms swaying, legs pumping, and lyrical arm movements. While seniors are having a great time dancing in their chairs, they are improving their cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility and energy.  Since it’s part dance and part aerobics, it is one of the most fun ways to burn calories. It’s fantastic for weight loss, increasing energy levels, great for building strong muscles and dense bones, and can reduce risk of chronic disease.

“My clients and staff really appreciate the Zumba classes twice a month provided by your instructor Popi. The music, which our clients love, keeps their toes tapping and Popi’s personality is exuberant and very congenial. I have received very positive feedback about the classes. I find this present group of clients really enjoys the musical component to the Zumba sessions”.
